Couldn't have said it better myself

I was really good about restraining myself during the election so I hope you'll excuse this post....

Frank Rich in an op/ed piece last week.

They Sure Showed That Obama

"This G.O.P., a largely white Southern male party with talking points instead of ideas and talking heads instead of leaders, is not unlike those “zombie banks” that we’re being asked to bail out. It is in too much denial to acknowledge its own insolvency and toxic assets. Given the mess the country is in, it would be helpful to have an adult opposition that could pull its weight, but that’s not the hand America has been dealt."

What can I do to help? > Stress Reducer Blog

Over the past few months, I have been asking myself what I could do in the face of our extreme global crises. That question is still very much in the forefront of my mind and there some much larger plans beginning to emerge, but for the moment this is my first response....the Stress Reducer Blog.

I hope you'll check it out and that you find it helpful.

Life Without Children

An article on infertility in the New York Times is just one of many on the subject.

I don't mean to be insensitive here (though I am certainly being politically incorrect) but I have to say is ....

Why are we working so hard to make more babies when our planet already has 3 times+  the number of people it is capable of supporting?

We would have no energy problems, no food crises, no potential water wars  and much less of an issue with climate change, if there were fewer people on the planet.

The scariest part of is we've known this for half a century and in that same period of time have developed extraordinary technology to make more babies.

And yes adoption is a solution. Until we've found homes for all of the children who need them, adoption is most certainly a wonderful option.

I knew I liked Dogs Better Than People

You've all seen that video of the man who got hit by a car in Hartford, yes?

When that video came on, Heidi started barking trying to get my attention. You gotta love it.
